The Maaca collection was created as my way to honour my wonderful grandmothers. One born in the Philippines and one from Mexico, I was inspired by their childhood memories and artifacts from their homes, interlacing their experiences into something new.
Karma, in Buddhism, refers to action or more precisely the cause of action: intention.
Karma is not fate or predestination, but the results of natural processes- meaning our thoughts, intentions and actions decide our Karma.
The Karma necklace, with a marquise lab diamond, resembles the symbol of the eye used in many cultures to ward off evil.
This is to also remind us to ward evil from our thoughts, intentions and actions.

Lab diamond 0.1ct
