The Maaca collection was created as my way to honour my wonderful grandmothers. One born in the Philippines and one from Mexico, I was inspired by their childhood memories and artifacts from their homes, interlacing their experiences into something new.
Shoshana (Rosa), my father’s mother, is this pendant’s namesake.
Living in Mexico until she was 19, my grandmother still feels a deep affinity to Mexico and its culture, passing that love on to her family through food, language, and decor.
The pendant is an homage to the Mayan calendar, which depicts the Mayan god of the sun surrounded by three different calendar cycles.
The Rosa pendant is approx. 15mm in diameter
chain length 42cm. | 50cm.
chain type- Pins 2.35mm | anker 1.05mm
